SOL Communications has been supporting the most significant cultural project at a national level – “Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019” since 2011.

The European Capital of Culture initiative is the most prestigious title in the field of culture in Europe. The Plovdiv 2019 Foundation is the organization that has prepared Plovdiv’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture title and which is responsible for the successful realization of the project with all its activities to popularize the city and the country.

The Foundation promotes the mutual understanding among cultures and peoples in Europe, bringing together institutions, supporting joint projects and their links with European and global initiatives in order to locate Plovdiv and its citizens as well as contemporary Bulgarian culture within an international context.
